I found your article really useful. As a librarian I teach information literacy and am currently trying to get it embedded at policy level as an essential skill within education. It is really useful to read your thoughts on the potential real life impact that information literacy and evaluation makes on our society with regards to web design. I will be using your examples in my lessons in future. Thanks!

Really fascinating article. As people get used to certain designs and styles they will report them favourably in UX and companies may hesitate to stop using them. User needs trump user wants, but eventually people may end up ‘needing’ a certain to style to cope, not just wanting it. Maybe the customer isn’t always right?? I will bear this in mind in future & thanks for a great post
