This post brings up some new ways to approach the design acceptance process.

I think decisions can be made about progressive enhancement before the design is even underway. Most of my inquiries come through my contact form. Even when it’s a referral from another client, they are directed to contact me via my website. When I receive an inquiry, I can see what browser and OS they are using. This helps me makes decisions on what css I should stick with. If I receive an inquire from someone using IE6. I do not do business with them!

It’s a good idea to keep a list of clients and what browser/os they are running. If they notice that something looks nicer in another browser, I tell them that these are modern browsers that support better looking interfaces, and they should switch to a faster, more secure browser.
