Colin Williams 23 December 2009 I’ve tried designing in the browser. I really, really have. And I just can’t seem to be productive enough at it. Using Photoshop, to me, is like playing a musical instrument. I whip through several iterations of a single element or group of elements in seconds with a few artful strokes of the keyboard. I’ve got my headphones on and I’m composing along with what I’m hearing. The design “blooms” in front of my eyes. I just can’t replicate that bouncing back and forth from the IDE to the browser. Not yet, at least.
