Great article! Taking the whole responsive discussion off the normal direction Wonder where this train of thought will lead us in the near future.
One word of criticism though. I don’t fully agree with that statement that ‘art direction’ doesn’t belong in markup. Partly right but there are numerous occasions when an image supports the content in telling the story it needs to tell. Those pictures should convey the right tone of voice at every device width even if that leads to having serve different pictures.
Wonder how Einsteins theory of: Problems are never solved in the field they are discoverd, will pan out for responsive design ;)
