Dave Sparks 17 December 2010 An interesting read through the comments. I think there’s certainly no problem with having a specific site for a mobile device given the large difference in the platform from the desktop. It is not really comparable to having a separate site for each browser as @WSTN suggests. Personally as well I live in an area with very little 3G coverage so I also find it useful for a site to have a mobile version that’s maybe a little less heavy on the loading times. Anyway I wanted to ask what’s peoples preferred method for allowing users to access the full site when they click the to view it? Simply using a session variable and checking that alongside with the device query?
