I’ve noticed that pngs sometimes cause IE6 to crash. I’ve been going through and trying to find the root of the problem.
The page is validating 100% xhtml strict. It seems to be related to jquery and having large pngs on the page.
I comment one out and it works. My solution for now is to replace the larger pngs on the page with gifs or jpgs…. less than ideal considering the design I was given.
I have worked with many different types of pngs hacks and this is the first time I have come across this issue.
For those that might say it was my jquery code… even the link alone to google for the lib link was causing the issue.
I know this makes little sense but what else can you expect with ie6.
