I have to agree with Douglas Neiner. While this is a very well written article and the point is made very clearly I still do not agree 100% and will continue to use graphic programs like PS and AI to mock up designs. I can make mockups much quicker in PS or AI than i can in CSS/html. This has nothing to do with my skill level with CSS or PS but with the fact that it’s simply easier to make graphical adjustments in the graphics program.
To appease the other crowd, I do try to do as much mocking up as I can within CSS after the wire framing is completed in PS/AI. I will admit that on sites where there is not a lot of graphics involved I have skipped PS/AI and moved directly to css mockups.
