I stick with Pixelmator especially now that they came out with their web features. Sure they don’t have the features that you pro’s may use, but as a dilettante and pupil of web design, it’s good enough for me.
Despite that, you make a good argument to stay in the browser now that CSS3 is being implemented in modern browsers. CSS3 seems like an equivalent to rapid prototyping and I’m content that it is a much better workflow than painstakingly cutting up your image mockup.
