I didn’t say using traditional design tools is stagnation… I just said, “don’t stagnate”… more to the resistance against change of the old PSD—>approval—>CSS&HTML—>Iteration—>Approval process.
I think it would be difficult to never use traditional design tools. Most of what I was saying, is that you don’t have to show your working files to your clients, you can quickly make working comps, that, once made, can easily and quickly be massaged and reiterated via their requests… Creative Suite tools aren’t necessarily quicker/slower, they are just more comfy for most.
P.S. The comment field asks me to be friendly and use Textile, but then my “quote
marks” and “apostrophes” and such go wonky…
