John, even if users don’t care about standards (and that is true) and that even if the page still works when not adhering to standards, there are some very good and practical reasons to live by them. For instance, increased accessibility, smaller file sizes for bandwidth savings, faster page loads, etc. I feel like I’m beating a dead horse here because this same argument has been answered many times over.
