I’m not a professional designer, but I’ve been a web-design ‘hobbyist’ for more than a decade, and I have always designed ‘in the browser’ rather than doing Photoshop mock-ups. It’s easier now than it was in 1998, but it’s the method that’s always made the most sense to me. I always chalked it up to simply not having a graphic designer’s Photoshop skills and therefore not understanding ‘the process’, but I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who thinks this is a good way to work.
