Thanks, Andy! The bit about clients not opening all the different browsers to check their site is a good dose of reality for some of us web designers who naturally are inclined to do such things.
I’m curious though, do you ever address the cross-browser issue with the client during a project? I think some designers feel like they’d be hiding something from the client if they didn’t mention it at all. It sounds like your view is that it would needlessly burden the client to raise the issue. If I’m reading that right, I’d have to agree. Clients can often be a panicky bunch, and it’s easier for a client to say no than to try and fully grasp the issue at hand.
