As always seems to be the case, we are faced with a situation where we have to try and get the best out of the current web environment – warts and all, whilst keeping the right kind of discussion going to ensure these small steps forward turn into great strides.
After doing tests on a variety of browsers and platforms, I currently use “non-system” fonts (I refuse to use the term “real fonts”) only on titles where font-size is around 18px or more. Last thing I want is completely illegible content – even for a relatively small number of visitors.
