Good (if a little iDevice-centric) article, but I’m yet to hear a remotely good reason for disabling user scaling.
“It might break my pixel-perfect design” isn’t good enough in 2010.
You wouldn’t consider doing it for a desktop site, not sure why it’s suddenly OK to do it on devices with tiny screens where zoom controls are far more important.
