Damon Bauer 10 December 2009 And such is the challenge of a web designer – juggling cutting edge design & ideas with the notion that people have to actually use the site. While a unique, out-of-the-box design is something we all strive for, we have to look out for the user visiting the site. That’s not to say the header, nav & content have to be laid out the same; far from that actually. I believe that more and more users are becoming open to the fact that website don’t always follow such a rigid layout pattern. Until every user does, however, we have to take into consideration the user’s ability to use the site. Part of the fun in designing sites is just that – finding that balance between cutting edge & familiar. Great, inspiring post Mike!!!!
