If you educate your clients to the fact that browsers are different, and that IE6 is like playing football in the pub sunday league, compared to Safari/FF’s Champions League football … they usually understand where you’re coming from … and from my experience … they will appreciate, that you’ve took time to explain to them the differences between browsers.
