I don’t see it mentioned in the comments yet, but your quote above:
“...Firefox, Safari, IE7, Opera and other modern browsers which allow users to resize text sized in pixels.â€
is not correct, as IE7 does not allow users to resize text sized in pixels. The layout can be zoomed, but the text can not be resized.
