Mathias Bynens 19 December 2011 Relevant: HTML5 introduces a new <bdi> element. It can be used to isolate text from its surroundings for bidirectional text formatting. There already was a similar <bdo> element before. The difference is that <bdo> is for when you know the direction of the text; <bdi> is for when you do not.
