Actually, what would be helpful are samples (on Typedia? on Font Squirrel? or Typekit itself?) of typefaces rendered on Windows w/ClearType on and off and on Mac. That would certainly make initial selection of typefaces much more straightforward as it would allow us to quickly rule-out fonts that look terrible on a target platform.

@David’s Tisa Pro sample is a great example of this idea, although it would be good to see the addition of a ClearType rendered version.
